New Orleans Updates

I was in New Orleans from 16^th July to 20^th July and I had lots of fun. It was my first IFT meeting and first visit to New Orleans as well. IFT meeting was overwhelming and so was New Orleans.

Let me start from the Bourbon Street and it was one of those crazy place which I will remember ever. Lets have a look at that street, best viewing during 10 PM to 2 AM for reasons better known to you all J

U can see all kinds of weird things on that street which can range from drinking beer in glass to even those not really nude girls. As a non alcoholic person, the thing I liked most was the music and I was just wandering why people are going in bars to listen the music when one can enjoy music on the road walking. May be they had some vested interest inside those places.

I see cops on horses going around making sure situation doesn’t go beyond the limit and for me sky was the limit on that street. What else, yeah there are those Royal tangas which takes me back to those Victoria puller on park street back in Calcutta.

That was the first night at New Orleans and I dare not try visiting other place that night. Came back to the hotel and the only conclusion I made was, “Bourbon street is fine for all those going to New Orleans for vacation but How can someone go to that crowded street just for the heck of having beer and smelling that rotten smell of all those full trash bags around them”.

By the way, my conclusion should not be a deterrent to anyone as you should rather go to New Orleans and judge bourbon street during night.
