Yeh dosti hum nahi chorenge

Friendship or dosti always reminds me of this quote

"Dont walk in front of me, I may not follow you,
Dont walk behind me, I may not lead you,
Just be besides me and be my friend."

How about these two friends, who were born in the same year, went to the same school (Loreto Convent in Shimla), both ended up their education in Harvard, both were married in the same year which later broke in the same year and both remarried in the same year. To add spice to the suspense, they were of same sex. So, u know now that I am not talking about the same couple.Seems like I make u guys do lot of mind teasning. Ok no more suspense for these "more than 30 years" old friends.

The first one started her (yeah both of them are she not he) career with around Rs. 60 per month in 1977 ( Even at that time it was too less of a salary). Now she is ranked third in Asia by Fortune as the world's top women in business and was listed by Time magazine as one of the 15 Global Business Influentials for 2002. She is the highest paid woman executive of India. She is none other that Mrs. Nanina Lal Kidwai, vice-chairman and MD at HSBC Securities and Capital Markets and she is also the deputy CEO of HSBC, India. Strange thing about her, with a management degree from Harvard she never worked outside India as she aims to make impact on Indian society.

Any guesses about the second friend???While Naina was the school topper each year, her friend was a class buffoon. But, she was a great writer and a confident girl. You all must be thinking that this friend could not have matched Naina, but thats not quite true as she is none other than the girl who made the world sit up and take note of her talent with her very first feature film, Salaam Bombay, winning the Camera D'Or at Cannes and an Oscar nomination. Yeah you all got it now, the Monsoon Wedding fame director Mira Nair.

Kudos to these two friends who are leaders in their own field and still very good friends as the title goes.
